ST. ANDREW’S AUTISM CENTRE

St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC), a service of St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH), is an integrated centre for the education, training, and care of persons with autism and their families. For more information on SAAC, please log on to SAAC website.

Services

SAAC operates St. Andrew’s Autism School, a special school for children and youths, and St. Andrew’s Adult Autism Services which runs the Day Activity Centre (DAC) for adults aged 19 and beyond.

In 2015, the Ministry of Social and Family Development appointed SAAC to co-develop and operate Singapore’s first residential facility designed and built to meet the needs of adults with autism. Located at Compassvale Bow, St. Andrew’s Adult Home (Sengkang), housing a co-located DAC, started operations in early 2019.

SAAC also supports and equips families through a range of family services, including parent support and networking, and actively engages in public education, advocacy and community outreach.

At SAAC, all are encouraged to relate to people with autism as unique individuals — person first; autism second.
