ST. ANDREW’S AUTISM CENTRE
St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC), a service of St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH), is an integrated centre for the education, training, and care of persons with autism and their families.
SAAC operates St. Andrew’s Autism School, a special school for children and youths, and St. Andrew’s Adult Autism Services which runs the Day Activity Centre (DAC) for adults aged 19 and beyond.
In 2015, the Ministry of Social and Family Development appointed SAAC to co-develop and operate Singapore’s first residential facility designed and built to meet the needs of adults with autism. Located at Compassvale Bow, St. Andrew’s Adult Home (Sengkang) will be operational in early 2019, and will also house a co-located DAC.
SAAC also supports and equips families through a range of family services, including parent support and networking, and actively engages in public education, advocacy and community outreach.
At SAAC, all are encouraged to relate to people with autism as unique individuals — person first; autism second.
Your support for SAAC’s work in the autism community will help the centre realise its vision of enabling persons with autism to lead dignified and meaningful lives. Find out how to support us with your giving here.
